liking to listen to the radio

If liking to listen to the radio is a genetic behavior, then I have got it from my father. I have finally unpacked my radio from storage room after one year movement & placed it nicely in the kitchen, and said no to any more radio apps!!! She (my radio) is 15 yrs. old, was one of the modern one in her time when I got her, with mp3 player & remote control (ohja). So far, she has traveled with me in three countries; it is not easy to leave behind your beloved belongings, however at some point you have to choose what to take and what to keep behind when you move out. But she, I could not leave her behind; she was a great company at university time when I was studding long hours late night. One of my favorite programs on that time started after 12:00 midnight, called in Farsi Rahe Shab (The Night Way).
My father had one too, & still has. His radio was very small one with shiny brown leather cover with many tiny holes on speaker side, & easy to carry. He got it from his father (that is definitely a genetic habit). It was his number one companion, all the time he was gardening, but also our family companion during a war time in Iran. On that time it was many electricity shortcuts, but his radio was always on, getting power from two big batteries, playing music & news but also updating us on the air force bombing red alarms to let us know when we needed to go to safety. War is a nasty thing; though I was a child on that time but my memory about it, is tighten to fear.
However it is a great feeling to review great memories but better than that is, my present feeling! When I enter kitchen, turn on my radio every morning, start listening while I am making coffee and linking myself through this transmitter to the different part of the world, it is truly amusing. My radio adapts quickly to any country I would take her…. My radio is smart & fun, be like my radio.

The media! The hunger! The war…

The media! The hunger! The war…what we need to know or, what news agency want us to focus on?! Most of the time what media try to show us, is a well prepared ready to sell news package, different than what we really should be aware of or, focus on! We shall not forget our awareness defines our actions.
The story of the Madaya city in Syria is truly heartbreaking; people who left without food for a month or more in a conflicted zone, shame on any group who they believe fighting can offer better life condition to the people…! There is no doubt that, the war is the most tragic human made action in the world.

But in fact the hunger is not a new story, it is a world problem for decades & it is not a problem just in Madaya city in Syria, but in some towns in Yemen, Libya, in Iraq…etc, and it is not happening just because of the war. The hungriness is happening every day, even in our neighborhoods! According to the WFP; “Sub-Saharan Africa is the region with the highest prevalence of hunger “… 66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry.” or “One in four of the world's children are stunted…”. Considering these statistics the media should report news of the hungry villages/towns almost every day and in many none-conflicted zones.
But war, “The War”, is causing more terrible problems than hunger! The violence, fears, insecurity, homelessness, loses, poverty, and some forever unseen pains…etc. aren’t those really bigger problem than hunger?
WFP homepage is mentioned: “The good news is that hunger is entirely solvable. There is enough food in the world to feed everyone and no scientific breakthroughs are needed. Today’s knowledge, tools and policies, combined with political will, can solve the problem”.
Political will and our willingness can solve the hunger problem hopefully…but what needs to come to an end & with immediate action is the war, the terrible war! And what needs to change is our awareness about what is really happening around us,to help us to use all available tools (&media) to shape the world around us, and to make it to be safer and better place for all us to live in.

Fear, Love, and Wonder feeling...in one sight & at one time

Fear, Love, and Wonder feeling...in one sight & at one time,
above the Mur river bridge!
Photo is captured just few minutes after midnight in New Year's Eve.

„Guten Rutsch“

One of the end of the year popular greeting In German language is; „Guten Rutsch“, which means; good slide! But in fact the deeper meaning is; wishing someone a good journey into a New Year.
However this (seemingly) long journey of life is very short…(a common way to say it; life is too short)! As evidence, this is the only last day of the year in this year that we are experiencing! Isn’t it?!
Life is changing, & we do too! We are going through many occasions in our lifetime, but it is up to us in this journey, we stand in our lights or in our shadows!
We are putting behind the only 2015 that we have lived in, and sliding into the New Year/New Times...& Time is truly the only treasure that we have got for free in our lifetime! I wish we all experience it fully & pleasingly.

And my greater wishes;
& I wish for the world infinite peacetime,
& for Polar bear an enjoyable freezing ice,
& for stray animals & all other animals very safe nature & kind humans in surroundings,
& for children to be safe and sound!

One day when the whale are not exist...

While in Scotland a paleontologist has found a new footprint belong to giant, long-tailed, plant-eating and vanished sauropods in shoreline on the eastern coast of the Scotland's Isle of Skye, in Japan the cruise and crews left the port for hunting a giant alive whale in Antarctic.
In one side of the world there is enthusiasm going on since of discovering footprints of not existed giant animals (dinosaurs) but in other side of the world, human hunters are packed to kill the existing giant animal (whales), and this time they have planned to kill just 333 of them(how generous)! This is just one third of the previous target. They keep hunting them and they call that hunting for “scientist purpose” (according to their response to the news agencies). HA?!! If we needed this much whale (one of the biggest animals on the earth) for scientist purposes and just in one trip, how many mikes, rabbits, monkeys…etc. has been killed or tested so far for same purpose then?! "Hallelujah"

One day when the whale are not exist anymore except as stuffed toy in toy shops & children story book, the world will send the paleontologist-s whom were so happy by finding the footprints of dinosaurs, to discover the remains of the whale with the most facilitated underwater ship which is made in Japan. Then the world will applause for this great upcoming discovery and we pay to museum to permit us to see the fossil of this biggest giant beauty “whale”!
I am happy at least the hunting season is over in Austria and I can see some Bambies(deers) who are freely running in a group from one side of the field to another.

“the strangers who are naturally inspiration”

The way that Buddhist bell draw me into the temple the sounds of the organ drag me to the church...On last Sunday evening, I attended the local church mini orchestra. The church was almost full therefore I have squeezed myself hardly in the last row bench. A minute later a lady came in, pushing her old mom in her wheelchair. Her mom was very old and somehow weak. She placed her in wheelchair carefully next to the last rows. Then she removed her shawl and opened up the jacket’s buttons carefully. Then she took off her hat & she rearranges her hair which was trapped under the hat very, very gently. She tapped on her shoulder to give her a comfort and assurance. She was giving her eye contact every 10 minute to ensure her comfort. She refused to sit when I have offered my place to her, to not lose an access to her mom...

What I was enjoying to see that, an ordinary lady who was caring of her old mom but it was more than just a normal caring; she was caring of her affectionately. She was not making an extra effort to be kind, she was naturally kind, and it was naturally expressed. This is how when someone has been raised with compassion, spontaneously can share it back.
The organ sounds in the church was pleasing to hear and the strange lady’s compassion toward her mom was too good to be unseen. I call this chapter “the strangers who are naturally inspiration”

keeping the morality in the business?!!

Well I cant stop myself but not saying that;….high end restaurant, putting the girls in a tank, asking them purposely to wear a shiny, glittery bras (should purposely be seen), instructing them for wearing the “high heels”(literally high) on the polished, parker floor! Com on, what they try to attract, more customers? Or they just provoking the bored business men in happy hours to consume more drinks and food?
The companies literally shed off the morality by just thinking of getting more profit!
Well, I should admit that; I can’t stand any business which insulting women or abusing them to get more profit. I don’t know which type of policy or dress code some companies have and what goes behind the scene of those high end restaurants which they keep the women in a tiny tight tank dresses and asking them to purposely wear a shiny, glittery bra underneath, which obviously they are told  the bra has be seen objectively! That is not an end, hold on…Adding up wearing the “high heels”??For 10-12 hours “every day”, standing, walking and serving type of job on polished parker floors…But yet, if they fall with those heels they should even pay for whatever was in the tray, no matter what! Come on! I don’t get what they trying to achieve, more customers? Or to provoke those bored business men to stay in and to consume more drinks and foods in dead happy hours! And even if they try to attract more attention, would it be a positive one?!Where the touch of elegance gone in high end industry…? And how they really define this type of dress code? (Yet, I am not talking about keeping the morality in the business). Isn’t the elegancy by itself enough attractive to anyone to keep the people engaged? I disgust any business or activity which abusing any creature (even small bug) to make a profit.

Kindness is a choice

In news it was shown the Hungarian police were giving apples to the crowd of Syrian refugees by throwing at them! In reality, my Viennese neighbor (who just got a villa for their weekend) pruned and thrown away their fully fruited, trees branches; like the fruits just were decorative! While a Yemeni lady in UNICEF camp told a broadcaster; she is afraid she dies of hunger more than she gets killed by the bombing!
In other side I have seen a refugee picture who took his cat along with him in the journey while some people leave their pets behind in a normal relocating situation! Or a Danish police chose to play with a child while guarding…
A kindness is a choice, and that doesn’t required extraordinary motives but, implying a single behavior differently! We should not forget the power of the domino effect in, how we choose to act!
P.S. No offends to any nationalities; I have just mentioned that to specify the events!

Come for a cup of Tea, we dont need an appoinmnet!

These days I feel I would like someone to call me and tell me come over to my place for a cup of tea and I say "Yes", I will, without thinking twice! without doing any makeup or even changing the clothes or being worry of timing,or the traffic jam, or how tired I am or how far is that...! I  would like someone to ask me; come over for a cup of tea out of blue, without really fixing a time with me in advance!
I would like to call someone and say; come for a cup of tea to my place, and he/she would reply back; "will be there shortly" without further explanation!

Football help to save Asian Cheetah

Iran played a beautiful game against Argentine last night, there were thousands of different comments about the game… their effort was priceless, however they did not score. But there is something else which I would love to state…
Beyond thousands types of products placement and multi-billion dollar advertisements campaign during the FIFA world cup…
Iran’s jersey simply and meaningfully has a Cheetah featured on the front. This is an acknowledgment to the Asian Cheetah projected to raise awareness for this beautiful animal that unfortunately faces extinction (this is sad, isn'tit).

Iranian football players have given more meaning to this tournament by featuring cheetah on their jersey! They are inspiring us to protect our nature by bringing the attention to one of the rare animal (Asian Cheetah). They are stating to the world that; we don’t want our future children to know Cheetah just through the documentaries or as stuffed dolls behind the toy shops’ window!!! I really hope this strong message have been heard among the audience’s hurray and the loud horns and have been notified among other useless commercial adverts!  To me, Iranian football players are always a winner even if they lose the game, even if they won’t be qualified to next round! They carry the precious message and more valuable than any match in the world.

…The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world! The Asiatic cheetah is a critically endangered subspecies of the cheetah found today only in Iran. In November 2013, Iranian Cheetah Society (ICS) stated that just 40 to 70 cheetahs remained. Please Read more in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asiatic_cheetah

Goblen

On Friday afternoon when I was relaxing at swimming pool area; it was a lady next to swimming pool with her 10 year’s old daughter she was sewing Goblen…I could not remember what was the last time when I have seen someone sewing the Goblen...! It was so inspiring and very interesting to me to see among all other people who were playing with their smart tab, iPhone, or who there were too worried of getting tanned…someone is doing a simple handicraft…That reminds me of my childhood. I think the last Goblen I sewed it was when I was 11 years old and since then I have seldom done any handicraft. It reminds me all the summer time in north of Iran, when my parents trying to keep up busy with simple things like and I as a child was so happy when I was receiving their comments on my handmade Goblen, and when it was done they put it in a wooden framed hanging on the wall…I am happy that this simple action from a stranger, could take me this far to my childhood! Sometime is good to say no to technology and to modern life and stay old fashion. ..
